Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>President Bola Tinubu has presented the symbolic flag of the All Progressive Congress, APC, to candidates contesting gubernatorial seats in Bayelsa, Kogi and Imo states.<\/p>\n

The President handed the flags to the candidates \u2013 Hope Uzodinma, Timipreye Sylva and Ahmed Ododo of Imo, Bayelsa and Kogi states, respectively \u2013 at the Presidential Villa Abuja on Thursday, where he wished them victory at the off-season elections coming up on November 11.<\/p>\n

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had fixed November 11, 2023 to conduct the off- season elections in the three states.<\/p>\n

The National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Ganduje led the three candidates to the Presidential Villa where the flags were handed down to them.<\/p>\n

Tinubu in a few remarks said, \u201cYour excellencies, particularly the governor of Kogi who is working hard to hand over to another product of our party, Usman Ododo, we\u2019re happy to have you here.<\/p>\n

\u201cHope Uzodinma, the great hope of our party and the Chairman, Progressive Governors Forum. Thank you for the good job you have been doing.<\/p>\n

\u201cTimipre Sylva, congratulations on what you\u2019ve achieved as a former governor and a former minister of petroleum resources.<\/p>\n

\u201d We are all fronting a crusade for democracy, in particular, in this off season election. It\u2019s our hope and my hope, we believe you will all always come victorious.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe pray God Almighty to give you victory. Many thanks to our party leadership, National Working Committee, and our hardworking chairman is doing a good job. And thank you for all you are doing. Well, I\u2019m ready.\u201d<\/p>\n
