Africa-Press – Rwanda. An own goal from centre back Stephen Bonney gave Kiyovu Sports the 3 points as they defeated Vision FC 1-0 in a Rwanda Premier League week 25 game on Friday at Kigali Pele Stadium.
The win pushed Kiyovu further up from the drop zone as they climbed to 8th place with 30 points while Vision FC are still rooted at the bottom of the table with 20 points.
It was a game which both teams displayed good football but wasted several chances in the first half.
Minutes after the second half started, Bonney bundled a ball into his own net in the 59th minute to give Kiyovu the lead.
Vision FC, led by Musa Esenu, had some good chances to pull even later on in the game but they could not as Kiyovu held on to register their sixth win in seven matches.
