Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rayon Sports have reached an agreement with Burundian attacking midfielder Abedi Bigirimana over a Rwf25 million move, Times Sport has learnt.
Bigirimana will be unveiled on Thursday, July 24 at SKOL training base in Nzove, sources told Times Sport.
The former Police FC midfielder was spotted training alone at Rubavu Lakeside beach as he was waiting for Rayon to get the agreed signing on fee before putting pen to paper.
Bigirimana will sign a two-year contract worth Rwf25 million, earning him a monthly salary of Rwf1.5 million.
In the 2024/25 season, he helped Police FC finish in fourth place, scoring seven goals and providing eight assists.
Bigirimana previously played for Kiyovu where he helped them to finish in the second place twice, losing the title to APR FC on both occasions.
Menahwile, Evode Ntwari has joined Rutsiro FC on a two-year deal after his contract with Gorilla FC expired.
APR FC on loan trio to AS Kigali
AS Kigali on Thursday, July 24, announced an agreement for the signing of Frodouard Mugiraneza, Elie Kategaya and Olivier Dushimimana on loan from APR FC.
The moves were confirmed by club’s General Secretary, Joseph Nshimiye before as the team began preparations for the upcoming Rwanda Premier League season.
Mukura sign duo, Kwitonda joins Gicumbi FC
Mukura VS have signed left back Tresor Kwizera and Serieux Mbonyemahoro from Musanze FC.
Kwizera signed a one-year deal while Mbonyemahoro will play for the club until June 2028.
Elsewhere, Rwandan midfielder Ally Kwitonda has signed a one-year contract with new promoted side Gicumbi FC.
