Africa-Press – Rwanda. Egyptian side Al Masry SC have prepared a reported offer in excess of Rwf500 million ($350,000) for the transfer of Rwanda and Stade Tunisien defensive midfielder Bonheur Mugisha.
Al Masry are growing interested in Mugisha and reports from Egypt and in Tunisia indicate that the club have been in close contact with his club with talks over his move now in advanced stage.
Club head coach Nebil Kouki is looking to strengthen his squad before the new season of the Egyptian Premier League begins.
Al Masry are now ready to pay $350,000 to secure the services of Mugisha who has been in red hot form since joining Stade Tunisien in the Summer of 2024.
Mugisha caught Kouki’s attention during his monitoring of the Tunisian league, thanks to his physical strength and ability to link play between the lines.
Kouki took advantage of the team’s training camp in Sousse, Tunisia, to conduct direct negotiations with the Rwandan player in order to expedite the signing before the summer transfer window closes.
Negotiations between the two clubs have reached the advanced stage, with both sides working to finalize the deal. Fresh talks will proceed after Mugisha features in the Tunisian Super Cup final this Sunday against Espérance Sportive de Tunis.
As part of the renewal and replacement policy, Al Masry officials are working to finalize contracts with at least three new foreign players to compensate for those who have left the squad after falling out of the coach’s plans.
Mugisha previously played for Heroes Football Academy, Mukura Victory Sports and playing for APR FC in Rwanda before moving to AS Marsa in 2023 and Stade Tunisien a season later.
