Africa-Press – Rwanda. American guard Chasson Randle, who recently represented APR at Basketball Africa League (BAL) 2025, has been inducted in the hall of fame of Stanford Athletics, a sports programme of Stanford University in California, United States.

The programme involves 36 university teams that compete in various university competitions.

The 33-year-old was named among 10 former players in various disciplines who will be inducted in the hall of fame in September.

Randle, among other achievements, guided the Stanford Cardinals to NCAA Sweet 16 appearance (2014) and a pair of NIT championships (2012 and 2015).

In 2025, he led the team in scoring (19.6 ppg), assists (112) and steals (50) while ranking 19th nationally in free throw percentage (87.7).

He is the program’s all-time leader in scoring (2,375 points), games started (142) and minutes played (4,791) while also ranking second in school history in career three-pointers (304), third in career field goals (760), third in career steals (167) and fourth in career free throws (551).

Randle is a 1.85m guard who boasts experience with NBA teams such as the Philadelphia 76ers and Orlando Magic, as well as Real Madrid in Spain.

He has also played for the Stockton Kings and Iowa Wolves in the NBA G League. Randle is fresh off a championship-winning season with the Stockton Kings in the 2024–2025 G League campaign.

On the international stage, he represented the USA at the U16 FIBA Americas Championship in Argentina in 2009.
