Africa-Press – Rwanda. Burkinabe striker Djibril Ouattara scored two quick fire goals early in the second half as APR beat Zambia’s Power Dynamos FC 2-0 at Amahoro Stadium on Sunday, August 17.

The match was part of “Inkera y’Abahizi” tournament which brought together four times including host club APR FC, Police FC, Power Dynamos and Azam FC.

Despite playing before a handful number of home supporters, APR FC started the match the better side by dominating proceedings from the first half where they dominated ball possession while also creating crucial chances that could have resulted into a goals before the pair headed to half time break.

Ouattara put his name on the scoresheet in the 49th and it took him just three minutes to score the second in the 52nd minute. His two goals were enough for the Rwandan champions to take home the win.

The weeklong tournament will resume on Tuesday, August 19, when Azama FC take on Police FC at Kigali Pele Stadium.

The teams will play the tournament in a round-robin format after which points will be calculated and the team with the most points will win the trophy.
