Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwanda Development Board (RDB) CEO Jean Guy Africa, on Monday, August 25, laid the foundation stone for Ramba Hills, a mega $80 million real estate project in Kacyiru, Kigali.

The large-scale development, led by Investment Africa Holdings Ltd, will see the area undergo a transformation over the next four years, featuring high-rise towers, residential units, offices, and retail spaces.

The government is backing the project as part of its broader Vision 2050 urbanization goals.

During the groundbreaking ceremony, Jean Guy Africa highlighted that the government sees Ramba Hills not just as a private venture but as part of a larger vision.

He referred to Rwanda’s Vision 2050, which aims to build a modern and inclusive economy, saying developments like this are steps toward building the “city of the future.”

Located in Kacyiru close to King Faisal Hospital and stretching toward Vision City and the Kigali Golf Course, the development will take four years to complete and aims to reshape Kigali’s urban landscape.

The plan includes two high-rise towers: one will be 26 floors and house residential apartments, while the other will rise 24 floors and serve as an office block. Four other towers, ranging between 10 and 16 floors, will accompany the main buildings.

Ten single-storey residential buildings will face the golf course, designed to offer a quieter living space with a view. The site will also feature landscaped gardens, a large swimming pool, and wide internal roadways for accessibility.

In addition to housing and office space, the project will include modern retail outlets, a hotel, and parking for more than 1,400 vehicles.

The design emphasizes convenience and integration, enabling residents and professionals to live, work, and access services within the same area.

According to the construction timeline, the residential houses will be ready within 18 months, apartments within two and a half to three years, and the office block by the end of the fourth year.
