Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwandan champions Rayon Sports Women Football Club are set to represent Rwanda in the upcoming 2025 CECAFA Women’s Qualifiers in Nairobi, Kenya.
The tournament brings together top women’s football clubs from across East Africa, serving as a gateway to the prestigious CAF Women’s Champions League.
To make this historic trip possible, Skol Brewery Ltd extended strong support to the team through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, which focuses on the empowerment and development of women.
This support ensured that the players and staff have the necessary resources to prepare and compete at the highest level.
This gesture highlights Skol’s long-standing commitment to women’s football in Rwanda. Beyond sponsorship, the company has consistently championed initiatives that promote equal opportunities for women in sports and society at large.
Speaking at the send-off, Jeanine, the President of Rayon Sports Women FC, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the club’s official sponsor:
“We want to send a message to our official sponsor, Skol, for always committing to support the women’s team in every way possible. They have shown great effort in uplifting us in our daily lives. That is why, even before we start this trip, Skol came to encourage our young women and wish us well. We are very grateful for this support, and we promise to represent Rwanda with pride and bring home victories.”
As Rayon Sports Women FC head to Nairobi, they carry not only the hopes of their loyal fans but also the responsibility of representing Rwanda on a regional stage.
