Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rayon Sports new striker Asman Ndikumana was all but happy to score on his Rwanda Premier League debut and warned rivals that he is just getting started.

Ndikumana, 26, scored a brace to help Rayon Sports bag the first three points of the league campaign following Saturday’s 2-0 win over traditional rivals Kiyovu SC at Kigali Pele Stadium.

“It’s an incredible feeling. I came here to score goals so to get the two goals in my first game comes with a great feeling,” the Burundian told the press in a post-match interview.

“I think it was an extra bit of confidence. Coming to a place like this, you need confidence and belief.”

Ndikumana was full of praise for Gloire Tambwe and Aziz Bassane who assisted him for the two goals who saw him introduce himself to the league on a bright note.

“For the second goal, Aziz (Bassane) did wonderful job. It’s right up there with my favourite goals and it means a lot to me. Obviously, the league is so long but I am here to give my all,” he said.

“Players have helped me settle in because we are together all the time. I know Rayon is good team so hopefully I can continue growing.”

Rayon return to action against Police FC on October 2 at Kigali Pele Stadium.
