Africa-Press – Rwanda. Professional players have started to jet in as Amavubi joins camp for two crucial final FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers against Benin and South Africa.
Rwanda will host Group C leaders Benin on October 10 before traveling to South Africa for the final qualifier against Bafana Bafana on October 14.
Adel Amrouche’s team started the training camp on Sunday, October 5. The team, staying at Gorilla Hotel, Nyarutarama, will from Monday be training twice a day at Amahoro Stadium.
Al Masry midfielder Bonheur Mugisha was the first professional player to join the camp where he arrived in Kigali on October 3.
Meanwhile, Rwandan captain Djihad Bizimana, goalkeeper Clément Twizere Buhake and defenders Thierry Manzi and Ange Mutsinzi arrive in Kigali on October 5.
Emmanuel Imanishimwe, who was added to the squad on Saturday, Abeddy Biramahire, Phanuel Phanuel Mabaya, Kevin Muhire, Darryl Nganji Nkulikiyimana, Innocent Nshuti and Fiacre Ntwali will arrive on October 6.
Jojéa Kwizera, Arthur Gitego, Hamon Aly-Enzo and Mickels Joy Lance will be in camp on October 7 while Anicet Ishimwe will be in town on October 8.
Other players who will be in camp later on October 7 include players from APR, Jean Gilbert Byiringiro, Pierre Ishimwe, Claude Niyomugabo, Yunusu Nshimiyimana and Jean Bosco Ruboneka who are with APR in CAF champions league.
