Africa-Press – Rwanda. New signing Kalifa Traoré shone on his debut in the Rwanda Premier League as his team Gorilla FC beat Bugesera 2-1 on Friday afternoon at Kigali Pele Stadium.

The Malian striker who arrived in Kigali only two days ago netted the opening goal in the 16th minute, before going on to put on a great show that contributed to his team’s eventual victory.

Gorilla FC’s second goal was scored by Frank Nduwimana in the 22nd minute to seal all three points. Rodrigue Isingizwe netted Bugesera FC’s consolation goal.

The 23-year-old Malian striker joined Gorilla FC as a free agent after previously playing for Africa Foot Elite in Mali’s top division.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, Gasogi United beat AS Muhanga 1-0, thanks to the lone goal from Jean De Dieu Udahemuka in the 39th minute.
