Amavubi Goalie Ntwari Out Two Months After Surgery

Africa-Press – Rwanda. Amavubi shot stopper Fiacre Ntwari is expected to be out for two months after undergoing successful surgery on his shoulder.

The 26-year-old underwent the procedure after struggling with a long-term shoulder issue.

Chiefs doctors say that the operation on Ntwari went well but reports indicate that his recovery could take longer than first expected.

Ntwari joined Kaizer Chiefs at the start of the 2025/26 season and has regularly been a first-choice goalkeeper for the national team. Before his move, he enjoyed a remarkable spell with TS Galaxy, where he conceded 29 goals and kept 13 clean sheets in 32 appearances across all competitions.

Despite being Chiefs’ second choice goalkeeper, his absence may become a blow for the club as he begins his rehabilitation process.

Although he has struggled for regular game time at Kaizer Chiefs compared to his spell at Galaxy, Ntwari remains highly rated for his composure and consistency between the sticks.
