APR FC Vs Etincelles, at Kigali Pele Stadium
Kickoff: 6pm
Etincelles FC will be out to frustrate APR FC when the pair square off in a rescheduled Rwanda Premier League fixture on Tuesday at Kigali Pele Stadium.
The Rubavu-based club is still searching for its first victory of the season, having drawn seven of their last eight league matches. Sitting 15th on the table with seven points, Etincelles hope Tuesday’s clash could finally deliver the breakthrough win they desperately need.
Head coach Marcel Lomami remains optimistic despite the tough challenge ahead.
“Yes, we haven’t secured three points, but we remain positive and I know the players can challenge APR,” Lomami said.
“We don’t want to lose this game because we want to move out of the relegation zone. We must be well prepared mentally, physically, and stay focused. Our work rate has to be at the top, especially against the best team in the country.”
For APR FC, the stakes are equally high. A win would move the defending champions into second place with 18 points, with one more game still to play.
Police FC currently top the standings with 22 points, four clear of second-placed Gasogi United, who themselves have a game in hand.
