During the session on Saturday, Kabarebe shared insights into the RPA liberation struggle, highlighting the challenges encountered and the key decisions that shaped the outcome.

He emphasised the determination and resilience of RPA soldiers under the leadership of President Paul Kagame in the effort to liberate Rwanda from bad governance and stop the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

The students also visited to the Campaign Against Genocide Museum, among other key sites of the liberation war. At the museum in Kigali, they reflected on the military operations that halted the Genocide.

The study tour is designed to deepen students’ understanding of strategic planning and the conduct of military operations, using Rwanda’s liberation history as a practical reference.
