Africa-Press – Rwanda. Tanzanian authorities have released the names of the 19 people who lost their lives in the Precision Air plane crash that occurred on Sunday, November 6, among the deceased is Hanifa Hamza, a Rwandan.

The plane, PW 494 -5H-PWF, was flying from Dar es Salaam through Bukoba to Mwanza with 43 passengers and crew on board, when it plunged into Lake Victoria in the early hours of Sunday.

Hamza’s passing was also confirmed to The New Times by her cousin, Laetitia Musomandera.

Hamza, 29 years old was heading to her home town in Karagwe, her mother is Rwandan while her father is Tanzanian. She was based in Tanzania where she worked as a medical doctor and graduated from Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University located in Ankara, Turkey.

Media reports say that a Precision Air plane crashed into water about 100 meters from the airport.

Meanwhile, President Paul Kagame has expressed his condolences to the people of Tanzania and his counterpart Samia Suluhu Hassan after 19 people died in a plane crash on Sunday, November 6.

Empathy messages continued to pour in for Tanzania, including the President herself and the African Union Commission chair, Moussa Faki Mahamat, among others.

Precision Air, which is partly owned by Kenya Airways, was founded in 1993 and operates domestic and regional flights as well as private charters to popular tourist destinations such as the Serengeti National Park and Zanzibar.
