Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwanda Premier League newcomers Etoile de l’Est have appointed Maurice Nshimiyimana as their new head coach.
The experienced tactician, popularly known as “Maso”, joined the Ngoma-based club on a one-year deal.
He takes over from Francois Nsengiyumva who has been sacked after being suspended in February this year.
Nshimiyimana’s major task is to help the club to at least maintain their top flight status in the 2023/24 season after they were relegated during the 2021/22 campaign.
He previously served as assistant coach of Musanze FC and Police FC in 2014 before being named as the interim coach of the latter in 2019.
The astute coach also had stints with Rayon Sports as assistant head coach during the 2016/2017 season.
