Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwanda Basketball League (RBL) champions APR have added to their ranks Chris Ruta, a Canada-based Rwandan forward, as they continue to strengthen their roster for the upcoming Basketball Africa League (BAL) 2024.
Club’s secretary general Eric Kalisa Salongo told Times Sport that the youngster is already in Kigali and has inked a one-year contract.
At 22 years of age, Ruta plays college basketball at Cape Breton Capers, the team that represents Cape Breton University in Nova Scotia, Canada.

His transfer comes just two days after APR signed start point guard Adonis Filer from Rwanda Energy Group (REG).
The trade process isn’t done at the club which continues its pursuit of more players in an attempt to build a strong roster ready enough to conquer the BAL championship.
