Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwanda international Jojea Kwizera was on target on Saturday night, June 22, as his side Rhode Island FC thumped Louisville City FC 5-2 at the Lynn Family Stadium in a USL week 18 game.

The new Amavubi midfielder had a superb outing as he netted a beautiful strike on the stroke of half time. He collected a pass on the left from Stephen Turnbull, dribbled past his marker before firing past goalkeeper Damian Las into the bottom corner to give his side a 2-0 lead.

Kwizera was a constant torn in the flesh of the the Louisville City FC defenders as they could not match his pace and artistry on the left side of midfield.

It was the first USL goal for the 24-year-old who was signed in January 2024 from MLS side CF Montreal.

Rhode Island are 11th on the American second tier league table with 15 points from 15 games.
