Afrobasket 2025 qualifiers: Rwanda line up friendlies with Mali, South Sudan

Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwanda Basketball Federation, (FERWABA) has confirmed that the national team will play two buildup matches against Mali and South Sudan as part of Rwanda’s preparations for the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket Qualifiers due in Dakar, Senegal from November 22-24.

The team, coached by Cheikh Sarr, will first face Mali on November 19 before taking on African powerhouse South Sudan on November 20. Both matches will take place in Dakar.

Rwanda is pooled in Group C alongside Senegal, Cameroon, and Gabon.

The national team is currently camping at Kigali Delight Hotel and is conducting daily training sessions at Petit Stade indoor gymnasium under head coach Sarr and his assistants Yves Murenzi and Kenneth Gasana.

Antino Jackson Jr, Alexandre Aerts, Jean Jacques Wilson Nshobozwabyosenumukiza, William Robeyns, Kenny Manzi, Dieudonné Ndizeye, Steven Hagumintwari, Emile Galois Kazeneza, Bruno Shema, Prince Muhizi, Cadeaux de Dieu Furaha, Osborn Shema and Noah Bigirumwami.
