Africa-Press – Rwanda. The Ministry of Education, through the National Examination and School Inspection Authority (NESA), has announced the launch of the PISA 2025 awareness campaign, which runs from March 17 to April 6 and from April 15 to 26.
The Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) is a global evaluation conducted by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) to assess the ability of 15-year-old students to apply their knowledge and skills in reading, mathematics, and science to real-life situations.
“This nationwide initiative aims to increase public understanding of the upcoming international assessment, scheduled to take place from May 27 to June 7, 2025,” NESA said in a statement on Saturday.
Conducted every three years, the assessment provides critical data on education systems worldwide, aiding policymakers and educators in improving learning outcomes.
With participation from over 80 countries, PISA is one of the most comprehensive international assessments of student performance.
The awareness campaign aims to provide key stakeholders, including students, teachers, parents, and policymakers, with valuable insights into the international assessment and its role in enhancing Rwanda’s education system.
The campaign will ensure that all stakeholders are well-informed about PISA 2025 and its significance in benchmarking Rwanda’s education system against international standards, NES said.
