Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwandan goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari is reportedly being targeted by an unnamed French Ligue 2 club.

Amavubi head coach Adel Amrouche has revealed that the Kaizer Chiefs shot-stopper is on the radar of a club in France’s second division, and they have reached out to him regarding a potential move.

“There is a second division club from France (interested in Ntwari). They also asked me about him,” Amrouche told FARPost.

The Algerian gaffer is however confident that Ntwari is at the right club (Kaizer Chiefs) and that the Rwanda shot stopper will fight for his place in Amakhosi.

“Ntwari is at the right club and will improve a lot under Chiefs’ coaches.”

“I trust the coaches at Chiefs, and I hope that between now and June, he is going to get his chance to play again because we need him for the rest of the qualifiers.”

Amrouche further praised Ntwari as a top goalkeeper who is performing well at the national team despite lack of minutes at club level.

“I thought the lack of game time would affect him, but he was good (on national team duty. You can see his teammates trust him, and I also trust him. I have a lot of confidence in him because of his qualities. He is also an incredible person to work with. He is a hard worker, and the players love him. People love him in Rwanda,” he said.

Rwanda will face Algeria in Algiers on June 5 in a FIFA international friendly as both teams prepare for match day seven and eight of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in September.
