Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Midfielder Mohammed Kyeyune scored a 94th minute equalizer to help Muhazi United hold Kiyovu SC to a 2-2 at Kigali Pele Stadium on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Defeat was staring at the faces of Emmanuel Ruremesha\u2019s side before Kyeyune hit a sublime free kick from 25 yards to keep the visitors\u2019 topflight football hopes alive.<\/p>\n

Muhazi United started the game brightly and looked more purposeful upfront as they pushed for an early lead.<\/p>\n

The likes of striker Samson Babuwa and his attacking partners Fiston Masimango and Nicolas Kagaba pinned Kiyovu onto their own half as Muhazi dominated the ball possession.<\/p>\n

The early pressure from the Eastern side yielded dividends as Masimango fired them ahead with an excellent strike in the 26th minute.<\/p>\n

But Muhazi weren\u2019t done yet as they piled pressure on Kiyovu.<\/p>\n

Babuwa beat his marker on the right and delivered a superb cross into the penalty box but Nicolas Kagaba’s connection narrowly missed target in the 33rd minute<\/p>\n

A neat build up involving Cedric Kubwimana and Joseph Karanzi saw the former whipping in a decisive cross but Masimango’s header missed target narrowly in the 42nd minute.<\/p>\n

Kiyovu’s first chance of the first half fell to Rene Uwineza in the 45+1 minute. A fantastic run by David Niyo saw the midfielder crossing the ball with Uwineza ballooned the ball over the bar under no pressure.<\/p>\n

A minute later, substitute Cherif Bayo, who had replaced injured Desire Mugisha in the 30th minute, fluffed a shot off target after another neat buildup from the right.<\/p>\n

Kiyovu Sports started the second half with much urgency as compared to the first half. They started getting into threatening areas with the balls as the Muhazi defenders retreated.<\/p>\n

Muhazi failed to clear their lines and Bayo benefited from some sloppy defending to pull even with a nice finish in the 52nd minute to make it 1-1.<\/p>\n

The visitors\u2019 defense went to sleep again as they allowed Darcy Mutunzi space to fire into the net to make it 2-1 in the 61st minute after poor marking.<\/p>\n

Kiyovu’s defense stood resolute as they thwarted all Muhazi’s efforts to pull the scores even.<\/p>\n

There was 4 minutes of additional time and Muhazi made good use of it after Celestin Nsabimana awarded them a free kick, 25 yards from the post.<\/p>\n

Kyeyune stepped on it and hit a ferocious strike which zoomed into the net in the 90+4 minute to end the game at 2-2.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Ciza Hussein, Ismail Nizigiyimana and Sadjat Niyonkuru were all on target at Umuganda Stadium in Rubavu as Etincelles thrashed Musanze FC 3-0.<\/p>\n

The game was coached by assistant coach Franc\u0327ois Kalisa after head coach Innocent Seninga was sacked over what the club management termed as \u2018misconduct.\u2019\r\n
