We are honored to host our Ugandan brothers for what promises to be a memorable and meaningful event. Football has always had the power to bridge divides and foster lasting connections and this match is a testament to that spirit,\u201d said FAPA President Eric Eugene Murangwa.<\/p>\n<p>The last time the two countries\u2019 legends teams met in a friendly match was in 2016 when ex-Amavubi stars thrashed their Ugandan counterparts 5-3. The Rwandan side was comprised of mainly players who helped the nation to qualify for the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations in Tunisia.<\/p>\n<p>The match was staged to pay tribute to late former Rwanda internationals Jean Marie Ntagwabira and Patrick Mutesa Mafisango.<\/p>\n<p>After the match, the players provided support to Ntagwabira and Mafisango\u2019s families as a sign of solidarity and recognition for their contribution to the development of football in Rwanda.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Rwanda<\/span> Follow <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Africa-Press<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Rwanda.
