Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>President Paul Kagame on Friday, July 4, shared what he would do if he could spend a day as an ordinary Rwandan\u2014without being recognised as the Head of State.<\/p>\n

He was responding to a related question while speaking to senior editors and international correspondents during a media interaction marking the 31st anniversary of Rwanda\u2019s Liberation.<\/p>\n

The President said he would do many things, reflecting on the adventurous side he would explore if he were young.<\/p>\n

\u201cSome things come with age. If it was long ago when I was still young, I would go skydiving, I would go bungee jumping. I would do some of these crazy things that…,\u201d he said, adding that he used to do some of them in his youth.<\/p>\n

\u2018I wouldn\u2019t drink, but I would have as much fun\u2019<\/p>\n

Skydiving involves a participant jumping from an aircraft and free-falling before opening a parachute, while bungee jumping is a head-first leap from a high structure with an elastic rope attached to a participant\u2019s legs, rebounding before hitting the ground.<\/p>\n

He also advised against alcohol consumption, especially as it ruins health.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wouldn\u2019t drink, but I would have as much fun that falls in normal brackets of fun, almost without limit,\u201d Kagame said, stating that \u201cin fact I wish I could be young.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI would do some of the things I missed doing those days… of just being there, free, fearless, and just enjoying what nature provides,\u201d Kagame said.<\/p>\n

The President cautioned young people against alcohol consumption, warning that it causes harm every day. He urged the youth not to grow up glorifying alcohol and instead encouraged them to adopt healthy lifestyles. According to the President, maintaining good health empowers people to build better futures for themselves and contribute meaningfully to national development.<\/p>\n
