Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>The Rwandan volleyball governing body (FRVB) will September 20 elect new executive committee that will lead the federation for the next four-year term.<\/p>\n

The development was announced during the federation\u2019s annual general assembly held in Kigali on Saturday, August 16.<\/p>\n

The current committee, led by President Raphael Ngarambe, has been in office since 2021 but it remains yet to be confirmed if Ngarambe will run for another term.<\/p>\n

The assembly also confirmed that the 2025\/26 national volleyball league season will officially kick off on October 17.<\/p>\n

One of the major changes introduced for the new season is the adjustment to the playoffs format where, unlike the best-of-three series used in the 2024\/25 season, the playoffs will now be played in a Best-of-Five series format.<\/p>\n

This means that teams must secure three victories to win a series, allowing for a longer, more competitive, and balanced tie between clubs.<\/p>\n

In the 2024\/25 season, APR VC and Police WVC emerged as champions in the men\u2019s and women\u2019s categories, respectively.<\/p>\n
