Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Rwanda will be hoping to be back to winning ways in their World Cup 2026 qualifying match against bottom-placed Zimbabwe on Tuesday, September 9, at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa at 3pm CAT.<\/p>\n

The match will be played at a neutral ground, with Zimbabwe still unable to host international fixtures because of stadium compliance issues.<\/p>\n

Amavubi arrived in Johannesburg in the wee hours on Monday ahead of the crunch tie.<\/p>\n

Rwanda, who managed just on point in their last four qualifying matches, sit fourth in Group C with eight points \u2014 eight adrift of leaders South Africa. Their qualification chances look far from possible but they will be looking to fight for pride against Zimbabwe who have also been struggling as they lie at the bottom of the table with four points.<\/p>\n

For the last five matches between the two teams, Rwanda won two, Zimbabwe had one win while both side drew level twice.<\/p>\n

“We are going to play against Zimbabwe for a positive result though we still have to fight and see what will happen,\u201d Amrouche said.<\/p>\n

“We will be aiming for any kind of good result as we use the platform to reach the level and ability of our current crop of players we have in this group,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
