Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>As Rwanda warms up to host the 2025 UCI Road World Championships, scheduled for September 21-28, some routes will be closed, but this doesn\u2019t mean a pause in spiritual life.<\/p>\n

Some churches have decided to put services online, especially for those who can\u2019t walk to church. This is how it will go for some churches in Kigali.<\/p>\n

CLA Church<\/p>\n

Christian Life Assembly (CLA), Nyarutarama, will not hold in-person services on Sunday, September 21; the service will be online at 10:00 a.m., The New Times has learnt.<\/p>\n

On September 23, there will be no Tuesday prayer service. On September 24, cell fellowships will happen in the neighborhoods. On September 28, there will be an online service at 10:00 a.m.<\/p>\n

Church of the Nazarene<\/p>\n

Jacques Niyonsaba, the senior pastor of the Church of the Nazarene, Remera parish, said the church will continue to hold its services both physically and online as usual, since the location is easily accessible. The church normally holds two services each week, on Friday and Sunday.<\/p>\n

Pastor Niyonsaba added that congregants will follow the recommended routes to access the church and encouraged them to join fellow Rwandans in celebrating the blessing of hosting the UCI Road World Championships. He also urged members to extend hospitality to guests.<\/p>\n

New Life Bible Church<\/p>\n

Senior Associate Pastor Fred Isaac Katagwa of New Life Bible Church in Kicukiro, in a recent church service, said the church will hold two services on Friday, September 19, at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou don\u2019t need to go back home after work to dress up; just come as you are. A Sunday service will still be held on September 21 at 11 a.m. for people able to walk to church. There won\u2019t be Sunday school. I recommend you have breakfast, sit as a family, and watch TV. We will be live from New Life, and you can follow the service online,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He urged Christians to pray for the country as Rwanda welcomes visitors, asking them to pray for safety and protection for the cyclists riding through Rwanda\u2019s hills.<\/p>\n

\u201cPray for favour, for a good showcase of Rwanda\u2019s hospitality and beauty, and for strength for everyone. This event shows Rwanda\u2019s peace and ability to host nations,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

ADEPR Kimihurura<\/p>\n

At ADEPR Kimihurura Pentecost Church, the service that usually takes place on Sunday will instead be held on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. Every leader has been requested to take note and inform their group about the adjustment.<\/p>\n

Healing Center Church Rwanda<\/p>\n

For this church, located in Remera, the Sunday service will go on as usual on September 21 and 28. It will start at 11:00 a.m. and end at 1:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Those willing to access the church, whether on Sunday or any other day of the week, can attend physically; those far away will follow online. Weekly services will also continue on Tuesday and Thursday, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., both physically and online.<\/p>\n
