{"id":112532,"date":"2025-10-09T15:33:08","date_gmt":"2025-10-09T15:33:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/rwanda\/all-news\/mahwi-grain-millers-lists-second-tranche-bond"},"modified":"2025-10-09T17:02:41","modified_gmt":"2025-10-09T17:02:41","slug":"mahwi-grain-millers-lists-second-tranche-bond","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/rwanda\/economy\/mahwi-grain-millers-lists-second-tranche-bond","title":{"rendered":"Mahwi Grain Millers Lists Second Tranche Bond"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Mahwi Grain Millers, a local producer of grain and other milling products based in Bugesera Industrial Park, on October 8, listed its second tranche bond on the Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE), marking another step in the firm\u2019s presence in the country\u2019s capital market.<\/p>\n<p>The listing is part of the company\u2019s Rwf5 billion five-year note programme aimed at expanding its grain trading and milling operations.<\/p>\n<p>The second issuance is worth Rwf2 billion and follows the listing of the company\u2019s first tranche of the note programme worth Rwf3 billion on the RSE in September 2024.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are grateful to those who trusted us, and it has shown that Rwandans and our corporates are ready to increase the investments into our private companies and to increase the savings that are channeled into the stock exchange,\u201d said Chantal Habiyakare, the chairperson of the company\u2019s board.<\/p>\n<p>This listing brings the total number of corporate bonds on the local bourse to seven.<\/p>\n<p>Each new listing, it observed, reinforces the RSE\u2019s role as a sustainable platform for capital raising, enabling businesses to expand, innovate, and contribute to Rwanda\u2019s economic transformation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith each new listing, we strengthen Rwanda\u2019s Capital Market as a catalyst for growth, innovation, and shared prosperity,\u201d said RSE Chief Executive Officer, Celestin Rwabukumba, while speaking at the event.<\/p>\n<p>Mahwi Grain Millers was incorporated in 2018.
