Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>The Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB) has inaugurated a state-of-the-art service centre in Gasabo District, marking a major step forward in its mission to enhance customer experience and improve service delivery.<\/p>\n

The new facility, located on the first floor of Kigali Allied Business Centre (KABC), was officially opened on October 9 as part of activities to mark Customer Service Week 2025. It features modern technology, including a digital self-service corner designed to allow members to independently access a wide range of RSSB services, such as Ishema and other online platforms.<\/p>\n

Speaking during the inauguration, RSSB Deputy CEO, Louise Kanyonga, described the new branch as a symbol of the institution\u2019s transformation and renewed commitment to its members.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis centre is not just another service branch; it represents a modern, member-focused RSSB. We are investing in technology and infrastructure to make our services faster, more accessible, and more convenient,\u201d Kanyonga said.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverything here was designed with our members in mind. From the layout to the digital tools, our goal is to ensure that every member who walks in receives efficient, quick, and quality service.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kanyonga added that the digital corner is one of the centre\u2019s unique features, enabling members to access online services on-site and learn how to use them independently.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want our members to be empowered to use digital tools and access RSSB services from anywhere. This not only saves time but also helps us provide a seamless service experience,\u201d she noted.<\/p>\n

The launch also reflects RSSB\u2019s broader transformation journey, which includes integrating technology into all operations to deliver world-class services to members and partners across the country.<\/p>\n

On behalf of pensioners, Dorothee Uwimana, head of the Pensioners\u2019 Association, praised RSSB for its continued support.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince our association was created in 2008, much of our progress is thanks to RSSB and the Government of Rwanda. One of the greatest achievements is the improvement in pension payments; we now receive our pensions monthly, unlike before when it was every three months,\u201d Uwimana said.<\/p>\n

According to the officials the new centre aims to enhance customer experience and improve service delivery.<\/p>\n

\u201cRSSB also ensured that retirees who were under RAMA continue to receive medical coverage even after retirement. This has been life-changing, especially for elderly people who frequently need medical care.\u201d<\/p>\n

Uwimana also highlighted RSSB\u2019s support in empowering pensioners through income-generating projects.<\/p>\n

\u201cRecently, RSSB supported us to start a modern beekeeping project, which we have now expanded to the sector level. Our goal is to professionalise the activity and produce high-quality honey for both local and international markets,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Representing Gasabo District, Yvonne Banamwana, Public Health Data Manager and coordinator of Mutuelle de Sante\u0301, lauded RSSB\u2019s strong collaboration with the district, particularly in the management of Ishema Mutuelle.<\/p>\n

\u201cGasabo has around 700,000 residents using Mutuelle de Sante\u0301, and RSSB has been a vital partner in monitoring, mobilisation, and even supporting us beyond working hours,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe new digital corner at this branch will make it even easier for citizens to access services and speed up the process of service delivery.\u201d<\/p>\n

Looking ahead, Kanyonga emphasised that the Gasabo service centre will serve as a model for future RSSB branches across the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is just the beginning. We want this centre to set the standard for all our branches, where technology, innovation, and member satisfaction come first,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
