Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Rwanda Handball Federation (FERWAHAND) has announced the appointment of Tunisian tactician Hafedh Zouabi as the new Head Coach of both the Men\u2019s and Women\u2019s National Handball Teams.<\/p>\n

Zouabi has signed a two-year contract, becoming the first officially appointed coach to lead the national teams.<\/p>\n

Previously, the national teams were managed by coaches appointed on a temporary basis for specific tournaments.<\/p>\n

Among those who previously led the teams is Franc\u0327ois Xavier Ngarambe, who recently guided Rwanda\u2019s U20 side to a bronze medal at the Intercontinental IHF Trophy, following their semi-final loss to the USA.<\/p>\n

Coach Zouabi\u2019s first major task will be to prepare the men\u2019s senior national handball team for the Africa Cup of Nations, which will be hosted in Rwanda from January 21 to 31, 2026.<\/p>\n
