Bruno Ferry will take charge of his first Rwanda Premier League match on Tuesday evening when Rayon Sports welcome Etincelles FC to Kigali Pele\u0301 Stadium.<\/p>\n

The Frenchman has had limited time to fully implement his ideas since arriving on Friday, December 19, and will lean heavily on the groundwork laid by his assistant coaches, Marcel Lomami and Haruna Ferouz.<\/p>\n

The duo had been in charge for several days prior to Ferry\u2019s arrival and will continue as his assistants as he begins a new era with the Blues.<\/p>\n

Rayon Sports, currently sixth on the table with 20 points, head into the clash aiming to reduce the gap between themselves and league leaders Police FC to six points as they hope to end a six-year title drought under the 58-year-old French coach.<\/p>\n

Despite playing at home, Ferry is expecting a tough contest against the visitors. Assistant coach Lomami echoed those sentiments, warning against underestimating Etincelles.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have to be ready for every game ahead. We did well against Gorilla FC, but now our focus turns to Etincelles. I know them well\u2014they are a very good and tricky side with a good coach in Djuma Masoudi, so we must be prepared,\u201d Lomami said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt will be a tough game. Etincelles play good football. Even though they haven\u2019t been winning, they can surprise you,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Police FC aim for unbeaten run ahead of Bugesera trip<\/p>\n

Police FC will be seeking to maintain their unbeaten run when they face Bugesera FC at Bugesera Stadium.<\/p>\n

Ben Moussa\u2019s side sits top of the standings with 29 points, six ahead of second-placed APR FC. A win against Camarade Banamwana\u2019s Bugesera side, currently 12th with 14 points, would further strengthen their position at the summit.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need to win against Bugesera to remain top. They are always tricky opponents, but we are ready. We want to maintain our momentum,\u201d Moussa said.<\/p>\n

After six rounds of matches, the 2024\/25 season has emerged as one of the most competitive in recent years. The likes of Rayon Sports, Police FC, Marines FC (third), SC Kiyovu (fourth), and newcomers Al Merrikh (fifth) have all shown potential to challenge APR FC, who have won the title five consecutive times.<\/p>\n

Other Fixtures<\/p>\n

Elsewhere on Tuesday, Gasogi United will face struggling AS Kigali at Kigali Pele\u0301 Stadium (kick-off 15:00). Rutsiro FC, who sit 13th, will host 11th-placed Gicumbi FC at Umuganda Stadium, while Musanze FC welcome Gorilla FC at Ubworoherane Stadium.<\/p>\n
