{"id":118378,"date":"2025-12-31T16:42:16","date_gmt":"2025-12-31T16:42:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/rwanda\/all-news\/kagame-praises-security-forces-for-ensuring-stability"},"modified":"2025-12-31T17:33:51","modified_gmt":"2025-12-31T17:33:51","slug":"kagame-praises-security-forces-for-ensuring-stability","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/rwanda\/policy\/kagame-praises-security-forces-for-ensuring-stability","title":{"rendered":"Kagame Praises Security Forces for Ensuring Stability"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>President Paul Kagame has commended the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) and other security organs for their professionalism, sacrifice, and unwavering service in safeguarding the country\u2019s peace, sovereignty, and stability throughout 2025.<\/p>\n<p>In a December 29 message to officers, men and women of the RDF and other security agencies, the Commander-in-Chief of the RDF, expressed appreciation for their dedication at home and abroad, noting that their vigilance remains central to Rwanda\u2019s continued progress.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough adversity and challenge, the men and women of the Rwanda Defence Force and other security organs have consistently served with unwavering distinction both here at home and on missions far beyond our borders,\u201d Kagame said in the end-of-year message.<\/p>\n<p>President Kagame, the Commander-In-Chief of the Rwanda Defence Force, inspects a military parade during the graduation of the 12th intake of Officer Basic Training at Rwanda Military Academy in Gako, on October 3.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasized that the forces\u2019 daily efforts ensure the safety of Rwandans, protect territorial integrity, and uphold national sovereignty, enabling citizens to carry out their socio-economic activities in a stable and secure environment.<\/p>\n<p>The President also highlighted Rwanda\u2019s contribution to regional and continental peace through peacekeeping missions in various African countries, praising the discipline and resolve demonstrated by Rwandan troops deployed abroad.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAcross the continent\u2019s peacekeeping theaters, you continue to honor our sacred vow to protect human life with every resource, every skill, and unwavering resolve,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n<p>According to Kagame, the peace and stability maintained by the security institutions have been instrumental in Rwanda\u2019s steady development across various sectors, reinforcing national unity and dignity.<\/p>\n<p>He reiterated his confidence in the RDF and other security organs, describing them as forces he has \u201calways wished to have,\u201d capable of protecting national interests while upholding the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and patriotism.<\/p>\n<p>The President urged security personnel to maintain momentum, remain vigilant, and adapt to evolving security threats, while staying committed to the shared vision of a secure, prosperous, and united country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI urge you to continue to uphold the principles of integrity and accountability that define our forces,\u201d Kagame said.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of State also paid tribute to security personnel serving away from their families during the festive season, acknowledging the personal sacrifices made by both service members and their loved ones.<\/p>\n<p>He extended condolences to families who have lost relatives in service, assuring them of continued national support.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe deeply recognize your sacrifices and those of your families,\u201d he said, adding that their courage and resilience remain a source of pride for the nation.<\/p>\n<p>On behalf of the Rwandans, the government, and his family, Kagame extended warm wishes to security personnel and their families for the festive season and the year ahead.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMay you continue to serve with honor, and may your sacrifices always be recognized and rewarded,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Rwanda<\/span> Follow <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Africa-Press<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Rwanda.
