Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>President Paul Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame on Sunday, February 1, laid a wreath in honour of Rwandan heroes at the National Heroes Mausoleum in Remera.<\/p>\n

The annual event was also attended by senior government officials, leaders of the military and police, diplomats, and family members of the honoured heroes.<\/p>\n

The ceremony was part of activities marking National Heroes\u2019 Day, observed annually on February 1. This year marked the 32nd commemoration, during which heroes are recognised in three categories: Imanzi, Imena, and Ingenzi.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Justin Nsengiyumva, Speaker of the Lower Chamber Gertrude Kazarwa, and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Professor Charity Manyeruke, who is also Zimbabwe\u2019s Ambassador to Rwanda.<\/p>\n

The mausoleum is open and free of charge to all Rwandans and foreigners who wish to visit.<\/p>\n
