Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Ghanaian striker Michael Sarpong has returned to the Rwandan premier league after two years.<\/p>\n

The forward signed a three-month deal with AS Kigali after having a short stint with Saudi Arabian second tier side Al Nahda.<\/p>\n

Sarpong revealed that he signed a short term deal with the Kigali City sponsored club as he wants to be active until the next transfer window after cancelling his contract in Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n

“I left my club in Saudi Arabia because of salary issues, the club had a financial problem so I cancelled my contract and can\u2019t be home until June without playing. That is why I came here. ” Sarpong stated in an interview with Times Sport.<\/p>\n

“Definitely I have a couple of options in summer but want to play and be active until that time.”<\/p>\n

Sarpong attained cult status in Rwandan football during the 2018\/2019 season as his sixteen league goals propelled Rayon Sports to the league title.<\/p>\n

He left for Yanga SC in 2020 after his contract with Rayon Sports was terminated.<\/p>\n
