Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>The City of Kigali has started setting up smart bus shelters which will be equipped with facilities like LED advertising and entertainment screens, LED lighting, WiFi and other accessories like charging ports.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, employees of the city started removing the old bus shelters in various parts of the city in order to replace them with the new smart ones.<\/p>\n

According to information shared by the city\u2019s administration via Twitter, the first phase of the project is going to start with the construction of 20 new bus shelters along the Airport-Chez Lando- Gishushu- Kimihurura-Payage road.<\/p>\n

The City of #Kigali has begun implementing Smart City Bus Shelter project that will have LED advertising \/Entertainment screens, LED Lighting, bigger capacity seating, WIFI & other electrical accessories like charging ports that will help those who use public transport. 1\/2 pic.twitter.com\/2bzUswRukb<\/p>\n

After this, the second one is expected to start immediately, establishing 22 more bus shelters on other city roads. They are expected to be finished before the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) takes place in Kigali in June.<\/p>\n
