The commemoration proceeded to Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre in Gisozi.<\/p>\n<p>Albert Akimanzi, the Bank\u2019s Head of Marketing, Corporate Affairs and Citizenship, emphasised its commitment to supporting the survivors of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. The Bank donated Rwf3 million for the maintenance of the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre.<\/p>\n<p><b>The Bank donated Rwf3 million for maintenance of the Kigali Genocide memorial Centre.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The event included the testimony of a BPR Bank staff survivor of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. During the event, the Ibuka programme manager Brave Olivier Ngabo took them through the journey before, during, and after the Genocide. Ngabo also commended the RPF Inkotanyi for stopping the Genocide and BPR Bank for their continued initiatives to support the survivors.<\/p>\n<p><b>BPR Bank Rwanda Plc staff with candles at Kigali Genocide Memorial<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Ndayisaba, who spoke on behalf of the victims\u2019 families extended their gratitude to BPR Bank for continuing to remember their former staff and supporting their children. BPR Bank has paid school fees for the 21 children of the ex-staff victims of the Genocide and three of them are now currently employees of the bank.<\/p>\n<p>BPR Bank was established in 1975. It was recently acquired by KCB Bank, cementing its position as one of the largest banks in the country by market share and branch network.<\/p>\n<p><b>BPR Bank Rwanda Plc paid tribute to the 33
