Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>The T5 EVO, which is one of the car brand of Chinese car maker Dong Feng, was chosen as the official lead car at the 17th edition of the Kigali International Peace Marathon which took place on Sunday, May 29.<\/p>\n

The car carried one of the annual athletics competition\u2019s commissioners who was observing how the half-marathon race was going down during its entire itinerary to the finishing line at the BK Arena.<\/p>\n

Carcarbaba, a Rwandan car dealership located in Kanogo in Nyarugenge district, is the official distributor of the car all the way from the Dong Feng Motor Corporation\u2019s headquarters in China.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe sponsored the International Peace Marathon because we believe it is the best way to interact with our esteemed customers through doing sports,\u201d said Ernest Bugingo, the Sales Supervisor at Carcarbaba.<\/p>\n

It was the first time that a Chinese-branded car has appeared in similar races in Rwanda and even in Africa. With its magnificent appearance, the car was among special highlights of the marathon and is likelier to keep the role as the leading car in future editions of the race.<\/p>\n

Here is what you need to know about the car:<\/p>\n

Manufacturer<\/b><\/p>\n

The T5 EVO was manufactured by China Dong Feng Motor Group, a Chinese firm.<\/p>\n

In China, Dong Feng has more than 60 years of experience in vehicle manufacturing. It has two new production bases for commercial vehicles and passenger vehicles, with an annual production capacity of 1 million vehicles.<\/p>\n

The products are exported to over 40 countries from America, Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia and, with a very high cost performance, it is quickly attracting the attention of local consumers on Rwandan market.<\/p>\n

The T5 EVO used in this competition is a brand-new SUV launched by Dong Feng Motor Corporation in 2021 and arrived on Rwandan market in November last year.<\/p>\n

Up to now, the total annual sales of the car in the world are close to 100,000 units.<\/p>\n

Design<\/b><\/p>\n

Short front and rear overhangs and low body shape, combined with the strong lion logo and sideways penetrating sports lines, is how one can simply describe the car\u2019s design.<\/p>\n

“It is an athlete in tights”, the styling director of T5 EVO who has worked in GM, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and other companies. This is how Henning describes its design.<\/p>\n

In addition, the T5 EVO is also equipped with a Mitsubishi 4A95TD engine with a maximum horsepower of 197PS. And it adopts the same Getrag 7-speed dual-clutch wet transmission as BMW M3.<\/p>\n

It is the world’s top three well-known transmission brands, making the power and handling performance of the T5 EVO comparable to the flagship models of other well-known brands.<\/p>\n

According to Carcarbaba, the T5 EVO are so special that anybody who wishes to own a car should not miss their products which are quite different in terms of durability and fair prices among others.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe cars work properly, durable and are affordable to buy and on top of that, are easy to find spare parts in case of maintenance,\u201d Bugingo explained.<\/p>\n

The supplier<\/b><\/p>\n

Carcarbaba Company in its nature does offline business integrating display, sales, after-sales, and maintenance.<\/p>\n

Its car store also marks the establishment of Dongfeng’s after-sales service system and maintenance system in Rwanda to improve Rwandan consumers’ confidence and sales experience in Dongfeng Motors.<\/p>\n\r\n
