Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>The management and staff of Canal+ Rwanda on Friday, June 3, joined the rest of the Canal+ family to celebrate 30 years of operation on the African continent.<\/p>\n

The French premium television channel launched in 1984, but opened its operations in Africa in 1992, with Senegal becoming their first market.<\/p>\n

Rwanda is one of the 25 African countries in which Canal+ is now operating. The TV channel started operations on the Rwandan market in 2012, but was officially launched in the country a year ago.<\/p>\n

In Africa, Canal+ started operating in Senegal with just one channel but 30 years later, the TV channel is working in 25 other countries with 200 channels, of which, 70 are local channels from different African countries.<\/p>\n

In a colorful evening of celebration, Canal+ Rwanda Managing Director, Sophie Tchatchoua, took the occasion to thank customers and all the partners working with Canal+, for being part of the journey.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am very proud to share this special moment with all concerned people, including my team and all partners who made what we are doing today possible. I also owe gratitude to our present and future clients for being part of the Canal+ family,\u201d said Tchatchoua.<\/p>\n

Asked about new plans that Canal+ has for the future, Tchatchoua confidently said, \u201cThe sky is the limit. We started in Africa with one channel and now, we are in 25 countries with 200 channels. So the sky is the limit!\u201d<\/p>\n

As a way of celebrating with its customers, Canal+ Rwanda has started a promotion during which lucky winners will get a 30-month-free subscription to Ubuki full bouquet, a premium subscription that gives a subscriber access to all channels available on Canal+.<\/p>\n

The promotion is open for both new and existing clients and will run until the end of June. One is required to buy a new subscription to join the promotion.<\/p>\n

The promotion also targets to award a total of 120 subscribers with free subscription on Canal+ full bouquet (Ubuki), where 5 winners will be offered a 12-month free subscription, while five lucky winners will be given a 30-month-free subscription every week.<\/p>\n

Besides, existing clients who buy new subscriptions, will be offered access to an improved subscription for 30 days. For instance, when a subscriber of Ikaze bouquet buys a subscription, they get 30 days of accessing channels of Zamuka.<\/p>\n

For Zamuka bouquet subscribers, they get 30 days watching channels of Zamuka na Siporo bouquet for free and so forth.<\/p>\n
