Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>A multinational hotel brand operated by Marriott International, Four Points by Sheraton, has opened up its doors in Kigali.<\/p>\n

The four-star hotel mostly targets business travellers and small conventions.<\/p>\n

Located in Kigali\u2019s Central Business Centre, the hotel will be operational from June 13, to accommodate the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting delegates.<\/p>\n

The hotel will be open to the public from July 2022.<\/p>\n

With 444 hotels in 72 countries, Sheraton is the third largest of Marriott’s 30 brands by room count. It was created 81 years ago, and has been acquired by Marriott International since 2016.<\/p>\n

In Rwanda\u2019s capital, the hotel has a total of 154 rooms in different categories, including 108 rooms of standard king, 34 rooms of the standard double and five rooms for the junior suite.<\/p>\n

The executive suite has three rooms; the family suite has three rooms in addition to one loft room present.<\/p>\n

Each room has a 55-inch TV, sofa and ottoman chairs, coffee\/team making facilities, ironing facilities, alarm clock, floor-to-ceiling windows and special bedding packages.<\/p>\n

The hotel also has three restaurants with international dishes serving African favourites.<\/p>\n

Four Points Social has the capacity to accommodate 80 people; it has a brew bar near the pool for 55 seats, whereas its Coco Fizz pool bar can approximately host 50 people.<\/p>\n

Sheraton also has a 24\/7 gym for in-house guests.<\/p>\n

For conferences, the hotel has 9 meeting spaces with the biggest having the capacity to accommodate 200-250 people, whereas the smallest boardroom can host six people total.<\/p>\n

Mathias Widor, the Cluster General Manager of Kigali Marriott Hotel and Four Points by Sheraton, reiterates their target to welcome CHOGM participants.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are launching this hotel on June 13, which gives us a couple of days before CHOGM starts. And we hope this four-star facility will be an outstanding business hotel, which is what Kigali needs for business groups and other big companies,\u201d he told The New Times in an interview.<\/p>\n

David Campbell, the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel Manager, lays out some of the hotel\u2019s uniqueness.<\/p>\n

\u201cBasically, what we got the chance to do here in Rwanda is of course to be more dynamic and different. Other hotels have a wide range of good features, but as Sheraton, we can be a little bit wider and more fun,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n

Campbell added that they are bringing a different level of service, and a different level of freedom beverage in the city, ideally to make the city proud, and also try to be more affordable.<\/p>\n

Marriott is the world\u2019s biggest hospitality group with around 8,000 hotels worldwide overlooking 30 brands and expanding in all corners of the world.<\/p>\n\r\n
