{"id":22138,"date":"2022-07-14T14:40:00","date_gmt":"2022-07-14T14:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/rwanda\/all-news\/beach-volleyball-rwanda-drawn-in-group-b-commonwealth-games"},"modified":"2022-07-14T15:14:21","modified_gmt":"2022-07-14T15:14:21","slug":"beach-volleyball-rwanda-drawn-in-group-b-commonwealth-games","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/rwanda\/sport\/beach-volleyball-rwanda-drawn-in-group-b-commonwealth-games","title":{"rendered":"Beach Volleyball: Rwanda drawn in Group B  Commonwealth games"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>The national men\u2019s beach volleyball team was on Wednesday drawn in Group B at the forthcoming Commonwealth Games scheduled for July 28 to August 8 in Birmingham.<\/p>\n<p>The Rwandan team as well as Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Gambia were all granted automatic qualification to the men\u2019s event due to their good positions in world ranking.<\/p>\n<p>24 teams will battle for supremacy in the sport at the competition in Birmingham with gold, silver and bronze up for grabs.<\/p>\n<p>Beach volleyball which will be held at Smithfield is making its second appearance at the games after it was first played in the 2018 edition in Gold Coast.<\/p>\n<p>Christopher Mudahinyuka, the head coach of the national team said that the team began residential training last week in Rubavu District.<\/p>\n<p>Players who are in camp are; Olivier Ntagengwa, Venuste Ngatsinzi, Fils Habanzitwari, Prince Kanamugire, Manuel Mugisha and Mandera Nzirimo.<\/p>\n<p>Group A: Canada, Gambia, Saint Kitts and Nevis and Sri Lanka<\/p>\n<p>Group B: Australia, Rwanda, South Africa and Maldives<\/p>\n<p>Group C: England, New Zealand, Cyprus and Tuvalu<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/rwanda\">Rwanda<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Rwanda.
