Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Formula 1 race driver, Sir Lewis Hamilton has described his visit to Rwanda as an experience that left him \u2018so speechless\u2019 to the extent that he simply fell in love with the country throughout his stay.<\/p>\n

The Briton is exploring his “motherland”, Africa, as he enjoys the season’s summer break with Rwanda becoming his \u2018second stop\u2019 after Namibia last week.<\/p>\n

Widely regarded as the greatest Formula 1 driver of all-time, Hamilton recently trekked the mountain gorillas at the Volcanoes\u2019 National Park in Kinigi, Musanze, a place whose people, he said, welcomed him \u2018with smiles and music from the beautiful Rwandan people\u2019 .<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat a sight it was to see them [gorillas] in their natural habitat relaxed and protected by the community around them. This is where they should be, in their own homes free to live their lives in peace. The trip really showed me how diverse and rich in culture it is here,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a profound and truly moving experience. I\u2019m in love with this country. Thank you for having us, I can\u2019t wait to come back,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

The seven-time world champion continues up his summer break in Africa before returning to the Formula 1 action ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix 2022 slated for this month.<\/p>\n
