Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>With just a little over a week to the end of the transfer window in Rwanda, clubs are busy doing business with players also on the lookout for new teams.<\/p>\n

One of the most important departments of football is the attacking role and clubs who don\u2019t have good attackers will struggle for goals in the new season which kicks-off on Friday, August 19.<\/p>\n

Times Sport takes a look at three big name strikers in the Rwandan league who don\u2019t have any clubs at the moment.<\/p>\n

Samuel Nwosu Chukwudi<\/p>\n

The Nigerian striker was the second top scorer in the Rwanda premier league last season with thirteen goals despite his team Etoile getting relegated.<\/p>\n

Strangely, the 30-year-old attacker is yet to get a new team despite being a free agent after his deal with Etoile ended.<\/p>\n

Nwosu has rich experience in the Rwandan top flight having also previously played for Rayon Sports, Mukura and Rutsiro.<\/p>\n

The Nigerian forward claims some people may be working against him directly in relation to him not getting a team.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was the second top scorer in the league last season but yet to get a deal. I am sure some people are working against me but I am hopeful I will get a team soon,\u201d a surprised Chukwudi stated when asked why he hasn\u2019t gotten a team yet.<\/p>\n

Michael Sarpong<\/p>\n

The 2018\/19 Rwanda premier league top scorer is now a free agent after being released by AS Kigali following the end of his three-month contract.<\/p>\n

The former Rayon Sports hot shot returned to Rwanda in April this year after terminating his contract with Saudi club Al Nahda.<\/p>\n

He signed a three-month deal with AS Kigali but the form of Shabani Hussein and others in attack made him not to have adequate playing time<\/p>\n

Sarpong scored just three goals with one coming in the league and two in the Peace Cup.<\/p>\n

William Opoku Mensah<\/p>\n

He parted ways with Mukura Victory this window after not featuring for the club towards the end of last season due to an expired work permit.<\/p>\n

Opoku was Mukura\u2019s top scorer in the league with eight goals despite not playing the whole season.<\/p>\n

He scored against APR and Rayon last season and was one of the exciting players in the league.<\/p>\n

Opoku is currently also a free agent who is in the hunt for a new team.<\/p>\n
