Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Cheikh Sarr, the national basketball team coach has been named on the technical team for the FIBA African Regional Youth Camps that will take place this month in Madagascar, Senegal and Morocco.<\/p>\n

The camps aim to help national federations detect new talent and build development programmers for local players and coaches.<\/p>\n

Organized by FIBA Africa in partnership with the NBA, the camps will set up shop in three countries: Madagascar (October 11-13), Senegal (October 18-20), and Morocco (October 24-26).<\/p>\n

On a specific note, the Senegal camp is an exclusively female edition where young women (players and coaches) will be tutored with a view to encourage them to play the game as well as give them confidence that they can excel like their male counterparts.<\/p>\n

This camp will bring together forty-five participants from fifteen countries and twenty coaches.<\/p>\n

The camps will feature tutorials for both players and coaches, delivered by experts like Cheikh Sarr.<\/p>\n

Sarr holds a Ph.D. in Psychology of Sports and a Masters in Sports Educations amongst numerous educational accreditations.<\/p>\n

The Senegalese has a good CV which includes among others having coached the Senegal national team, leading them to the second round of the FIBA Men\u2019s Basketball World Cup for the first time in 2014.<\/p>\n

Besides coach Sarr, two Rwandan youngsters – Luck Ngerero Nziza and Keva Nyirishema Kaliza will take part in the camp, as trainees.<\/p>\n
