Mukura Victory Sports humbled Marines FC 6-0 while defending champions APR were held to a goalless draw by Gasogi United on Friday, December 2.<\/p>\n

APR remained in fourth place with 20 points while Gasogi United remained in fifth place with 19 points.<\/p>\n

APR enjoyed possession but could not find a goal. They came into the game expecting tough opponents and needed three points to close the gap with top teams.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Mukura beat Marines 6-0 at Umuganda Stadium, thanks to the goals from Patrick Murenzi, Abubakar Gibrin Akuki, Cedric Kubwimana, Ashraf Kamanzi, Innocent Ndizeye and Elie Iradukunda.<\/p>\n

The heavy loss saw the Rubavu-based Marines remain in the bottom of the table with five points. Mukura moved to sixth place with 17 points tallying with Gorilla, Musanze and Police but Mukura has a better goal difference of 10.<\/p>\n

Marines were forced to defend for large portions of the game, but a disciplined defensive effort reduced their hosts to pot-shots from a distance that rarely troubled their goalie. They continued to search for a consolation goal but failed to score.<\/p>\n

Mukura have extended their unbeaten run to five matches in the league.<\/p>\n
