Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Portuguese second tier side CD Trofense have denied free agent Ange Mutsinzi’s claims over unpaid wages and made it clear that they owe nothing to the player.<\/p>\n

The Rwanda international left the club on mutual consent in an agreement that saw his contract nullified effective Wednesday, December 21, due to unpaid wages as the club seems to be in financial difficulties and are not able to pay him.<\/p>\n

The club was unhappy to hear that the defender took the matter to the media yet they settled all due wages for every player, including him.<\/p>\n

\u201c…at this moment, the club no longer owes anything to the said footballer[Mutsinzi]. We deeply regret the conduct of the said player, as well as the way in which he brought this issue to the public, without prejudice to reserving the right, in its own headquarters, to resolve the legality of the same,” the statement reads in part.<\/p>\n

“Trofense is attentive and, in due time, will verify if this conduct was based on a purely labor issue or if, on the contrary, it had sporting motivations that involve third parties”, it added.<\/p>\n

Mutsinzi joined CD Trofense from APR FC on August 23, 2021 and played 31 games scoring once before his contract was terminated.<\/p>\n
