Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Under pressure Francis Christian Haringingo has been tasked to win Rayon Sports\u2019 next three matches to save his job or he will face the sack,\u00a0Times Sport\u00a0understands.
\nThe Blues had a torrid form before the end of the first round of Rwanda Premier League, having lost three matches in a row including 3-2 defeat against Etincelles, a 1-0 derby loss against APR FC while they also fell to another 1-0 shock defeat against Gasogi United.
\nThe losing streak has put Haringingo\u2019s job at stake with his employers reportedly unhappy with his performance.
\nRayon will face Mukura Victory Sports, Musanze FC, and in form SC Kiyovu in their next three fixtures and\u00a0Times Sport\u00a0understands that the club management has asked the Burundian tactician to win all the games to save his job.
\nAsked about his future if he fails to win the next three games, he said, \u201cI don\u2019t want to talk about things which have happened before, let\u2019s wait for the games ahead.\u201d
\n\u201cIf the management decides they want a change, then there is nothing I can do about it. It is very hard to win every game in a season. In football, you win, draw and lose,\u201d he added
\nRayon has won nine matches and lost five times and drawn one.
\nRayon had a bright start to the season when they won six consecutive games many supporters were at the time convinced that Haringingo was the right man for the club which looks to end their three-year title drought.
\nHowever, the club\u2019s slow show before the end of the first round saw them lose the top spot on the table and dropped to fifth position with 28 points.
\nThey are level on points with arch-rivals APR and Gasogi United and two points behind table leaders AS Kigali and SC Kiyovu.
\nBut he remains confident that the team can bounce back during the second round and save the season with the title.
\n\u201cIt is always bad to lose games when you want to win the league while the opponents are doing well, but we need to turn things around and I hope we start with the next matches,\u201d Haringingo said.
\nRayon Sports will kick off the second round of the league campaign against stubborn Mukura Victory Sports who are sitting sixth with 24 points.
\nThe club is looking to win their first title since 2019.<\/p>\n
