Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Experienced shot stopper Eric \u2018Bakame\u2019 Ndayishimiye says he is looking forward to a new challenge in the colors of his new club Bugesera FC.<\/p>\n

The Rwanda international on Tuesday, January 10, completed his move to Bugesera where he penned a six-month deal that will see me play for the club for the reminder of the 2022\/23 season.<\/p>\n

Before the move, the veteran was without a club for over half of a season since he parted ways with Police in June 2022 to end his two-year stay with the law enforcers.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was good, because it was a different experience from spending longtime without a club. Coming back to play is very good and I am ready for my new challenge and ready to give my best to the new team,\u201d Ndayishimiye said after signing for the Nyamata-based club.<\/p>\n

\u201cBugesera is a good team, so whatever they want me to do, I will do it,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

The goalkeeper spent the last two months training with Bugesera first team until the club management were impressed by his performance and decided to sign him.<\/p>\n

The 35-year-old is now focused on helping the team avoid relegation during the second half of Rwanda Premier League.<\/p>\n

He is, however, not guaranteed a starting spot between the sticks as he faces competition from current club No 1 goalkeeper Jean De Dieu \u2018Shaolin\u2019 Nsabimana.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhatever happens, I will be there fighting to be No.1. I know that I am ready to play games and I think I have shown that, especially in the last two years,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Ndayishimiye insists he is far from finished and only performance on the pitch will speak for him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have to believe in my own ability …which I do. I see it every day in training, I feel I am at the top level and I don\u2019t see any reason to believe otherwise. I work hard, I dedicate myself and I know I\u2019m more than capable of doing it,” he said.<\/p>\n

Regarded as one of the finest goalkeepers the country has ever produced, Ndayishimiye has won many trophies with APR and Rayon Sports. He is an experienced goalkeeper who has played for almost every big club in Rwanda, in addition to the national team.<\/p>\n
