Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Rayon Sports centre back Samuel Ndizeye will be out of action for two weeks after undergoing a successful surgery on his right shoulder on Saturday, January 21.<\/p>\n

The Burundia international injured his shoulder during Rayon\u2019s 1-0 derby defeat against APR on December 17,2022.<\/p>\n

“He had a successful surgery on his right shoulder yesterday, he will return to training after two weeks from now,\u201d club spokesperson Jean Paul Nkurunziza told Times Sport.<\/p>\n

“We are expecting him to return in one month. It will take him a few weeks to recover but everything regarding his surgery went really well,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Ndizieye becomes the second Rayon player to undergo surgery after Abdul Rwatubyaye who had a knee surgery in December.<\/p>\n

The Blues\u2019 vice-captain has been in an incredible run of form at the back in the absence of Rwatubyaye and his stellar performances during the league earned him a club\u2019s player of the month in November.<\/p>\n

Rayon has been struggling with injuries which has cost them some crucial results that left head coach Francis Haringingo sweating over his future at the club.<\/p>\n

The Burundian tactician is left with limited solution to injuries as his side prepares to return to the Premier League action next week.<\/p>\n

Eric Mbirizi, Raphael Oliseh, Blaise Nishimwe, Arsene Tuyisenge, and Leandre Onana, are all out injured while Abdul Rwatubyaye has returned to training. He, however, remains a doubt for Rayon Sports\u2019 next match against Musanze on Tuesday, January 24.<\/p>\n

Rayon sit fifth on the league table with 28 points while their next opponents Musanze finished the first round of the league in ninth place with 22 points.<\/p>\n
