Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Fidel Rwigamba, a member of Parliament representing RPF-Inkotanyi in the Chamber of Deputies on Wednesday, February 15 died of illness at the age of 73 at King Faisal Hospital where he was receiving treatment.<\/p>\n

His brother Camille Karamaga confirmed the news, adding that the deceased passed on at 9:30am but could not provide any details at the time of publication.<\/p>\n

Speaker Donatille Mukabalisa, on behalf of the Chamber of Deputies, issued a statement of condolences to the bereaved family.<\/p>\n

Rwigamba has been a parliamentarian since 2013 and was also elected to the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) in the same year.<\/p>\n

Prior to that, he served as the secretary-general in the Senate from 2009 to 2013 and also as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Public Service and Labour in 2003.<\/p>\n

In 2001, he was in charge of coordinating government action in the office of the Prime Minister.<\/p>\n
