Africa-Press – Rwanda. <\/strong><\/span>Rwanda\u2019s off-grid energy distributor, MySol, has launched its solar water heaters and security lights to Rwandans adding to various solar products at the ongoing 15th edition of Tour du Rwanda.<\/p>\n

MySol is among Tour du Rwanda partners for the fifth consecutive time.<\/p>\n

The 1,129-kilometre international race kicked off Sunday, February 19, attracting 95 riders from 19 teams.<\/p>\n

During Tour du Rwanda, one of the biggest races in Africa, sponsors use the occasion to showcase products to cycling enthusiasts from all walks of life to witness the race. MySol is using the platform to introduce its new products \u2013 water heaters and security lights \u2013 throughout the eight-day race reaching many parts of the country.<\/p>\n

Yvonne Umuraza, the company\u2019s Marketing Officer, told The New Times that the company seeks to provide Rwandans, mostly those living in urban areas, with affordable water heaters and security lights.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn this tournament, we have brought new products which are solar water heaters and security lights,\u201d Umuraza said while launching the products in Rwamagana, on Sunday.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur water heaters have the capacity to keep 300 litres which insures our clients that they can still access hot water even in winter days where there is no consistent sunshine.\u201d<\/p>\n

Umuraza encouraged people to buy MySol\u2019s new products because they are of a high quality and easy to pay for.<\/p>\n

\u201cI take this opportunity to remind the general public that all MySol products can be paid in instalments. They should not miss this opportunity to have hot water for showers, cleanness and security lights which ensure safety in case of theft,\u201d she noted.<\/p>\n

Blaise Butoyi, the Head of Sales at Engie Energy Access Rwanda, which sells MySol products, said that they are extending the distribution of the products to people in urban areas after spending several years serving communities in rural areas.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs we promised people living in urban areas, time is now to provide them with good and affordable water heaters and security lights,\u201d Butoyi said.<\/p>\n

Explaining the difference between their new products and the other existing products on the market, Butoyi said, \u201cwhat makes our products unique is quality and the way of payment.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe help our clients to pay in three instalments for those who can\u2019t afford to pay immediately and we offer them a one-year guarantee and a free repayment within that year,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

MySol which is in its fifth year of partnership with Tour du Rwanda is committed to continuously supporting the tournament as it gives an opportunity to connect with their clients easier.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have found a smooth channel to connect with our clients directly through this big race, so we\u2019re not planning to stop this partnership,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n

Known for its high-performing solar home systems (SHS) and exceptional customer experience, the company started operations in 2014 and has successfully connected over 400,000 people from 45,000 households to clean and affordable energy across Rwanda.<\/p>\n

In 2020, ENGIE Group acquired energy providers including Mobisol, Fenix International and ENGIE PowerCorner and merged them under one entity dubbed ENGIE Energy Access which recently replaced Mobisol brand name by MySol.<\/p>\n

The company has more than 250 workers in about 15 shops across the country.<\/p>\n

MySol offers customers ample options of solar panels with 10 watts and above which can be paid immediately or in instalments.<\/p>\n
